About This Video
Hooray! This week's uke minute is for the songwriter in you! Here Aldrine breaks down the ins and outs of 'chords that sound good together', otherwise known as "Chord Families." Basically, figure out what key you want to play in, find out the notes in that major scale, and number them 1 through 8. Numbers 1, 4, 5, and 8 will be major chords. 2, 3, and 6 will be minor chords. And 7 will be a diminished. Now choose which of these chords you want to use and in what order, and - alakazam! - you just got yourself a song! Play around with this and let us know what you think! http://www.ukuleleunderground.com
