Successful British band 'The Ting Tings' played an exclusive concert in addition to their current 2009 UK tour in their hometown Manchester on Friday 27th February at UNIT ONE. At this special event the duo invited fans to interact creatively in a huge post gig painting session involving 350 large paint filled water guns, covering the entire venue. International streetwear brand adidas Originals, building on its partnership with The Ting Tings since their appearance in the latest adidas Originals House Party campaign, supported this event, providing every fan with a paint outfit consisting of a classic adidas Originals tracksuit.
The Extra Manchester gig on Friday brought to life the two band members’, Katie White and Jules De Martino, visionary idea; combining a live show with creative performing arts that involves both the audience and the band. Having created a colourful mural within the new adidas Originals House Party film, where The Ting Tings featured with a host of other celebrities, they are now happily looking to get their fans involved in painting at their live shows.
adidas Originals supported the special event by outfitting every fan with a white classic tracksuit, encouraging the crowd to abandon all inhibitions and play with the paint. As a celebration of unlimited creativity this concert proved a great opportunity for adidas, The Ting Tings and their fans to Celebrate Originality.
