REVIEW: HP dm3 (USA)/dm3-1020ca (Canada) PART 1

This is part one of the review. http://www.digitalhomethoughts.com Want to buy a dm3? http://tinyurl.com/hpdm3 [Affiliate] This is my review video of the HP dm3; the dm3 is a new laptop from HP that's an evolution of the dv2 - it's thin, light, and not very expensive. It uses the AMD Athlon Neo X2 dual-core processor, a semi-low power processor that uses 18 watts of power, but delivers better performance than the Intel Atom processors found in netbooks. This particular model has 4 GB of RAM, uses a 320 GB 7200 RPM hard drive, has a memory card reader, ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, four USB ports, and HDMI out. The 13.3 inch wide-screen display is 1366 x 768 pixels in resolution (driven by an ATI Radeon 3200 GPU), and it has a built-in Webcam and microphone. The keyboard is full-sized, and the laptop features Altec Lansing speakers. The 6-cell battery is rated for up to six hours of battery life. Please rate, subscribe, and comment. Thanks! REVIEW: AT&T Samsung Jack

This is a review video of the AT&T Samsung Jack, a Windows Mobile Standard 6.1 smartphone that is an upgrade from the Samsung Blackjack II that has been on the market for quite a while. As of August 2009, the Samsung Jack can be bought from AT&T for $99 with a two-year contract. The Samsung Jack is a 3G GSM phone - it's a quad-band phone, giving you EDGE data and voice anywhere in the world, and for 3G is has 850/1900/2100 frequencies. It has a 528 Mhz CPU, 256 MB of RAM, 256 MB of ROM, GPS, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), a QWERTY keyboard, and a microSDHC slot. Samsung has said this phone is upgrade-ready for Windows Mobile 6.5. This netbook is a second-generation unit, following on the heels of the HP Mini 1000 released in 2008. The HP Mini 110 that I'm looking at features a 1.6 Ghz Atom N270 processor, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM (upgradeable to 2 GB), a 160 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, integrated 802.11b/g WiFI, and a 10.1 inch LED Anti-glare (matte) 16:9 aspect-ratio widescreen at 1024 x 576 resolution, driven by an Intel GMA950 graphics processor. There's a webcam of unknown resolution (likely VGA), and the finish is "Black Swirl". "White Swirl" and "Pink Swirl" are also available. UNBOXING: HTC Touch Pro

This is an unboxing and first impressions video of the HTC Touch Pro. This devices was given to me on loan by Expansys, and it currently (Nov 2008) retails for $799 USD: http://tinyurl.com/5th68q The HTC Touch Pro uses a Qualcomm MSM7201A CPU at 528 MHz, runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and has 512 MB of storage ROM and 288 MB of system RAM. It is 102mm tall, 51mm wide, and 18.05mm thick. It weighs 165 grams with its 1340 mAh battery. It has a 2.8 inch VGA screen, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11 b/g, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It's a quad-band GSM phone (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), and this model is set up for Europe/Asia 3G with 900/2100 MHz band coverage for HSPD/WCDMA for up to 2 mbps upstream and 7.2 mbps downstream. The main camera is a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, and there's a front-facing VGA camera for video calling. It also has a microSDHC card slot and supports high-capacity cards, which are currently up to 16 GB in size. REVIEW: Acer Aspire One

This is my review of the Acer Aspire One, a netbook with some fairly typical specs: a 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom CPU, 1 GB RAM, an 8.9 inch screen, a 120 GB hard drive, 802.11b/g, a 6 cell battery, and running Windows XP Home. Pricing varies - I paid around $439 for this, but Acer has changed the product slightly - they're now shipping it with a 160 GB hard drive, and there are several version of the Aspire One on the market, including an entry-level unit with Linux.
