Wonderful submission. Sadly I would have preferred the description to be a little more abstract and not give away the ending for me in the first few seconds.

I see your point - but I suppose I was interested in the reactions of others to a suicide. The voyeuristic interest of the male narrator in what led to the suicide. Or rather his presumptions about the suicide. The last line sums up his actual mere passing interest "if she were still walking I wouldn't turn my head".
From that point of view there wasn't any suspense.
It is damn depressing though. LOL
