Ballet Mécanique (Ryuichi Sakamoto)

A lovely song with a little bit unmatching title :-) In my opinion, this song has thoroughly a romantic melody line particularly at the beginning and therefore it doesn't promptly lead to any association with the 'Ballet Mécanique' created by George Antheil/Fernand Léger. Nevertheless it is simply a beautiful song composed by Ruichi Sakamoto, a famous Japanese composer. My great thanks to good friends of mine, 'layelectone' and 'rotitelor' who introduced this song to me. This time playing a little bit rocker-like :-) The original arrangement by Yasuyuki Kasori is slightly modified by me as well as some chord rhythmics and registration setting. Unfortunately the audio quality is not the best. Jazz Organ Fellowship (JOF) Gala part 1

This was our first annual Jazz Organ Fellowship Gala that took place in San Jose, CA on August 20, 2009. It featured Rhoda Scott and Wil Blades on organs; Scott E-Dog Petersen on tenor sax; Jack Tone Riordan on guitar; and Akira Tana and Jeff Mars on drums. Rhoda Scott received our very first JOF Award and four pioneers of jazz organ were posthumously inducted into our newly created 'Jazz Organ Hall of Fame': Thomas 'Fats' Waller, Wild Bill Davis, Jimmy Smith and Larry Young, Jr. There is more information about JOF at www.jazzorganfellowship.org

Casa Bianca (Hiroshi Kubota)

A tough, impulsive old number from the Japanese Electone Maestro 'Hiroshi Kubota' with a strong latin influence. Initially composed for the Yamaha Electone FS/FX series. All registrations and drums are though rebuilt by me. Played full manually with no MDR / XG supports.

Maybe I'm Wrong (The Square)

One of the most beautiful songs composed by the famous Japanese band 'The Square' (the rock-styled predecessor of the 'T-Square') with the background accentuation of the very popular Hammond Sound. I'm not very happy with my (far simplified) interpretation on the solo saxophone part. Wish I'd had a real saxophonist filling that part for me. Kind of sax ad-lib is hardly to play on the Electone, I think. Never ever manage it since years :-( Maybe first possible with Tyros 2/3 with their super articulation ??? Well, "Maybe I'm Wrong" .. ;-)

Night Rhythm (Lee Ritenour)

A wonderful Jazz song from Lee Ritenour, the World Class Jazz Guitarist. Performed this time with completely no sequencer; an attempt from me to play like in those olden days. Partly I, though, combined the Auto Bass Chord with the manual feet works. Using almost exclusively all the standard/built-in rhythms and voices. Thus, no user rhythms and no edited voices - minimal works ;-)

A softened version of 'September' based on the techno-styled arrangement of Yoshihiro Andoh. Rearranged and reworked in the registrations as well as the drum patterns particularly for the Yamaha EL-900. Played full-manually, thus no XG, no MDR playback, no Auto Bass Chord. The original XG accompaniment is not used in this version of mine.
