[pt.2]: Chinese Cultural Plaza - nighttime tour

Honolulu's "Chinatown Cultural Plaza" during "shutdown" time, when virtually all business establishments have packed it in for the night and when the main plaza areas proper are "officially" closed to the public. The peacefulness & near-serenity of the facility during this time takes on a unique character quite different from its more crowded & active periods. This video was shot on a Nikon "COOLPIX" L18 digital camera on my first night of its use (technically my "2nd" time of use: prior to that I was forced to use it to take snapshots of damage some a**hole inflicted to my motorcycle... this was when I learned, after only 9 snapshots, I needed something called a "memory card" in order to take more pictures or record motion media -- so I did not use it again until I received my 4GB Sandisk memory card). The night this video was shot it was moderately windy, but the built-in microphone is so overly sensitive that I decided to mask over the original 'natural' audio with the accompanying music soundtrack instead. *TERMINOLOGY* In Hawaii, rarely do we use standard English terms to indicate direction. Rather, you are far more likely to hear the terms: "mauka" ("toward the mountains") and "makai" ("toward the sea"). In the heart of Honolulu City, these Hawaiian terms are generally (BUT NOT ALWAYS) equivalent to "North" and "South" respectively... but again, these designations change meaning entirely depending on which coast of the Islands you happen to be physically nearest to. In Honolulu, "Mauna Leahi" (b.k.a. "Diamond Head Crater") and the "Ewa ("EV-ah") Plain" fill out (again, "generally") "East" and "West" respectively.
