Cheerios as a Vehicle

This is a final project for intro to video. This project and process was inspired by experimental film from Saul Bass and Joseph Cornell. Themes were drawn from a class I just finished called Media history where I studied individuals like Alan Kay. Thanks very much to Louis A. Vargas for the inspiring camera work; and thanks to Cody Broadway for Editing and Acting. Hopefully this film makes someone chuckle and someone else think about what it means conceptually.

EEII 09'/Experimental Electronic Interventions in Interior

EEII (Experimental Electronic Interventions in Interior) is collaborative and participative artistic event where foreign and local artists are merging ideas through different media (multimedia, sound, video, design, new technologies) using multidisciplinary and experimental approach. EEII '09 took place in Čakovec, Scheier Gallery space on Saturday 5th December 2009. As mentioned earlier, collaboration, exchange of knowledge and skills is what this Fest is all about. Gathering of 20 artists and giving them freedom to create together for 12 hours has shown new ways of interaction that lead to new and unique art creations.

Ylotana: The Music and the Art Ylotana is a project that was born from a concept that began with Anatoly Podkopovs passion for music. The one time business man left the corporate world behind and pursued the goal to bring multimedia entertainment to the foreground. To date, Anatoly has put together a troupe whose talents encompass several different disciplines. These creators all specialize in a given artistic field that include but are not ultimately limited to computer graphics, contemporary painting and illustration, music composition, disk jockeying and storytelling. This unique composition gives an outlet to numerous art forms that have long lain dormant and is the very symbol of what Ylotana is trying to accomplish. Visuals Ylotana does not simply rely on one type of visual to create the mood they desire. There are graphic presentations as well as hand drawn comic book/graphic novel panels and cotemporary art paintings that litter the Ylotana landscape. The art accompanies five separate projects that are entities unto themselves but still remain a part of the Ylotana collective. Used to highlight the morality tales that exists within each of the five projects, the art varies from story to story. This fact enables participants of the Ylotana experience to discover something new within each tale. Ylotana A Multimedia Voice With two studios in Moscow and London, Ylotana is a project that seriously seeks to create music that touches the masses in a different way. What makes this endeavor ambitious is the fact that it does this by not only incorporating a multimedia voice but a multicultural one. Ylotana, created by entrepreneur turned musician Anatoly Podkopov, utilizes different styles and genres of art, from illustration, to literature as well as instrumentals that are primarily based on ethnic musical interpretations. With such a project, this multicultural mixture could nearly ensure a worldwide reach, introducing itself to all cultures in a way that is both entertaining and informative. Ylotana Literature Ylotana sports five separate projects which are in and of themselves, separate entities.
