Castell Coch is a late nineteenth-century 'fairytale'-style castle, whch was built on medieval remains. Castell Coch was designed for the third marquess of Bute by William Burges. The interior is lavishly decorated and furnished in the Victorian Gothic style; a Romantic vision of what a castle in the Middle Ages would have looked.

We follow the story of the penny-pinching miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who only cares about money and not mankind. He views Christmas as 'a time for finding yourself a year older, and not an hour richer'. On Christmas Eve he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who died seven years ago. Marley was a miser, who got rich in business through intimidation, just like Scrooge, and suffered the consequences of his actions in the afterlife...he returns to warn Scrooge to change his ways now, before it is too late!
