Installing Mac OS X on unsupported G4 Power Mac

Video has English subtitles. This is tutorial on how to install Mac OS X (10.5) on unsupported CPU's. Видео для тех кто владеет старыми моделями компьютерами Макинтош, у которых процессоры PPC, а именно G4 и скорость ниже 867 МГц, не поддерживают установку Leopard 10.5. Напомню минимальные требования для установки OS X 10.5 : Необходим компьютер Macintosh со следующими характеристиками: • процессор Intel, PowerPC G4 (867 МГц или быстрее) или процессор G5 • накопитель DVD • встроенный FireWire • не менее 512 МБ RAM (в целях обеспечения аппаратной поддержки для разработки ПО рекомендуется дополнительный объем RAM) • встроенный экран или экран, соединенный видеокартой, которая поставляется компанией Apple и поддерживается Вашим компьютером. • не менее 9 ГБ свободного дискового пространства или 12 ГБ дискового пространства, если Вы устанавливаете инструменты разработчика. Есть способ как «обмануть» установщик Installer операционной системы 10.5, заставив его поверить что ваш процессор подходит к минимальным системным требованиям. «Обманываем» установщик при помощи командой строки. Шаг первый. Перезагрузите ваш Mac и сразу после перезагрузки, на клавиатуре нажмите четыре клавиши: Command-Option-O-F у вас должен появиться черный экран с текстом. Теперь вы в Open Firmware в прошивке вашего Мака. Шаг второй. Вставьте в оптический привод установочный диск (DVD) Mac OS X Leopard. Шаг третий. Пропишете ниже перечисленные команды точно так как они показаны. Учитывайте все знаки препинания, заглавные буквы и т.д. Команда для single CPU процессоров: dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0 d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property boot cd:,\\:tbxi Команда для dual CPU процессоров: dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0 d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@1 d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property boot cd:,\\:tbxi Шаг четвертый. После этого вы сможет продолжить установку 10.5 как обычно.

Go to www.mozilla.com and download the latest version of firefox, install it, let it be the default browser. Next, when first run, it will ask to import Internet Explorer's bookmarks, click Don't import. Now once the main window opens, click Tools > Addons. Type in Adblock Plus, hit ENTER, click Adblock Plus (might need to scroll down a bit to find it), click 'Add to firefox'. A popup window will appear, click Install. Once installed, it will prompt you to restart firefox, do it. Now once firefox reappears, select Easylist (USA) (also works for canadians) or the one appropriate for your country. Click Subscribe and THAT'S IT! Ads should now be blocked.

It's an over-promise / under-deliver sorta day in technology, first with FusionGarage, the partner company in the over-hyped CrunchPad, taking the reigns and unveiling the JooJoo, a $500 tablet computer designed for surfing the web... and that's it.
