Backing up everything & Linux Alternatives for Netbooks

I am making a decision to completely replace windows on this netbook IF the backup fails to 100% restore everything archived to the USB hard disk. Since I had no issues or problems using linux, this is a very viable solution.

Title describes everything that happened. I am very pissed off... VERY. This makes me to never use windows 7 again. Once linux matures to the point of having it's own Movie Maker application that is based on Kino, has all the fun of windows movie maker minus the bugs, I will formally ditch windows and stick with linux FOR GOOD.
