Experimental Short Film: The Trait

"The Trait" is an experimental short film which was made by re-cutting and adding effects to the footage from an old short film of mine, "traction". I'll post the complete documentation on my blog later with all the details. I'll update the link on here once it's done. Meanwhile, the French voice-over narration has absolutely nothing to do with the film, and is just there to add to the whole experimental-film pretentiousness. Traction Re-edit Test

I'm trying to re-cut/re-edit/re-imagine "traction", my first short film. I know there are a lot of things beyond fixing, like the shitty/uninteresting camera angles and lighting (or lack of it). I want to try and improve the look (color correcting), editing, and sound. Not so much fixing the sound as removing it totally and replacing it with a random voice over, and subtitles that tell the actual story. This is a sample cut from what will become the entire 7 minute short film. I don't know, could be shorter, but the original was 7 minutes. What do you think of the sample? PS: The subtitle here was random. I haven' actually written the script for the voice-over yet.

Everything was shot hand held with a MiniDV Camcorder from a Car, a Cab and a Bus in a single day. Edited with Sony Vegas 7, Audacity and GIMP. Music by R.E.P (Sulu G, Malacharius) Ft. Danjou. Hope you like it :)
