I like how you added this clip - flows well with the audio description of the cat trail and the hand motioning..

a little overlap on the audio here. This conversation was tough to piece together both regarding audio and video footage.

Good overall, I think the use of the captions in the beginning and the end, help to form continuity of the video.

Short and sweet and to the point. I think I would have added a final credit roll to the end. There were so many ways to focus on the issue here in this video that it was tough to pick a view and stick to it. View from the scientist/naturalist stance, the hunter's stance, I also thought about the BigFoot's stance at one point but really was lacking the time to complete the idea and find all the resources I would have needed to do this.

Nice cut from wide to close up. Good establishing shot.

Agreed. great transition here and use of moving the audio around to make a seamless transition between car arrival to getting out.

The audio "what did they see, then" provides a nice transition to the bigfoot footage.

again, a great use of cut aways for as a way to edit tough audio togther.

Going between the men's description and the 'bigfootage' breaks up the monotany of the dialogue and helps the viewer picture the scenario. Some of the shots could have been compressed just a tad more.

I like the use of the footage, but I just think you could compress it to flow a little better. I think you transitioned beautifully to the ending.

Great cut on the main action too! You've really done this nicely with cutting between the close a far shots

By using a cut away shot you can edit the audio to your hearts content. It doesn't llok like you did too much, but the opprotunity is there. When you cut back to the main scene, you effectively use that as an opportunity to jump to the next question.

Thanks for the tip Joel. I think I understand what you're saying - there can be great creative potential with this technique.

good place for this transition as well. You appear to have a real feel for this editing business. You've set the bar high for yourself, and we look forward to some great projects.

Video Critique Rubric:
Editing: I think you did a great job and created an informative and sequential story.
Audio: Audio was clear and I liked it in the opening footage.
Visuals: I liked the continuity of the blue background in the beginning and the end with the messages.
Objective: Purpose of video was clear. Video effectively communicated your message.
Creativity: I liked the beginning with the visuals and the audio. I liked the back and forth between the men talking and the mountains and the "Big Foot" scenes. I think you creatively handled a troublesome piece of video.

Did you add some extra effects to this cutaway? I don't remember it being this choppy. Nice effect!

I will agree that you passed with flying colors on the rubric. Great job and very creative. It looks like our solutions for the cutaways were similar but with small differences. Interesting to see the similarities and the differences in our interpretations.

The frase, "hair was collected" jumped at me here, and i remembered it from the opening scene. Nice tie in.

Hey. I saw Bigfoot in Washington. You should check out the video on my profile.
