About This Video
Lockheed Martin, and major NASA contractor, will be closing down production of fuel tanks it currently makes for the space program. As NASA looks to launch its new Constellation Program in efforts to have the Orion Moonship set for takeoff in 2015. Lockheed Martin employs 2,445 workers betwe en 3 cites for production. 200 jobs will be cut between New Orleans, Huntsville, Alabama, and Kennedy Space Station in Florida. Major layoffs won’t come as a big surprise. The program is set to conclude in October of 2010, where 8,000 jobs could be lost at the end of the contract. With construction of the Constellation Program, work will surely increase then, as the first flight is planned for 2015. http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com
