Is this all custom stuff then - did you extend Wordpress to support having a video ID to do the embed?

Watchification (like Speechification) uses a couple of plugins to make this work. One to
make it easy for the person making the post to enter the data, and
another to make the search box clever enough to handle the additional
fields (Director, Producer, etc)

Then I tweaked the layout to build the appropriate embed in the foot of posts which use the video source and vidoeo ID fields. That bit's just a few lines of PHP.
