6 months ago Show -3 + -Sheesh, Cheezwizz... For your supposedly intellectual nature, you miss something that seems quite obvious. This room is clearly an elevator-type room, meaning that after the enemies are defeated, it will lower you to the next area.
That, and the fact that the lasers activate when you open the door, the fact that the tube is clearly one-way, and that there is no way up from the hourglass just works to prove you wrong.
You gotta look at everything, Cheez. Not just your inflated ego.

If anything, the game schools you into thinking "when baddies are killed by the werehog, they give you juice and spew yellow diamonds" and "if there's a purple cloudy barrier blocking your way, only then you have to kill all baddies to proceed". I know there are a few exceptions to this, but anyway, when neither of that is present, it should give you pause. Well, I guess you're right, it's not that obvious, it comes down to how attentive the player is.

From Dynimite Dux to streets of rage to this game Beating up a room of bad guys meant being held in one place then moving on. Its not anyones fault that they accidently fought infinate spawning enemies in a room for about 5 minutes before accidently hitting the wall (off camera) and realising what the hell is actually going on.
