Interesting idea. I can see how having students subscribe to the different types of sources (e.g. blogs vs. news) will lead to a more critical understanding of the types of info that comes out of these different sources.

Yes, and this critical understanding can be actualized by how students introduce, include, and interpret the quotes from different sources. For example to say "another blogger had a similar experience" is very different from, "Child psychologists say that..." And that is different from, "In the New York Times, it was reported that..."
