It was a good idea to tell about the person before giving the name because it builds some suspense.

Great job so far, but be careful of factual mistakes. New Caledonia is actually located very far away from France!

You did a great job without notes, but its okay to hold notecards. It is better to hold something small in your hands than to have to look so far down at the table to read notes.

Your gestures so far have been good, but be careful of things like you are doing here. Holding your arm, this gives a nervous and "closed" impression to the audience.

Be careful of tense! Here you said she IS the news anchor, but she cannot currently be the news anchor because she is here in Monterey. Just be aware of how tense affects the overall meaning of simple statements.
