About This Video
Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading IP solutions provider, today revealed that it has broadened the scope of services offered in its London data center at Docklands by making available hosting managed services, such as monitoring, backup, security, server management and storage solutions, specifically Hitachi Data Systems data storage capabilities. The company also announced plans to expand its London facility and to open a new data center in Amsterdam.
The company's Docklands data center is nearly filled to capacity with 89 percent of the available space sold. As a result, Global Crossing has embarked on Phase II of that build-out and already has pre-sold 10 percent of the additional racks available to prospective customers. In addition, a new center in Amsterdam is part of the firm's plans to continue the modular development of its hosting solutions business in Europe. The Amsterdam facility will be available in early 2009.
