Note: A Tibetan viewer let me know that this is in fact a dialect spoken in Yushu, Kham. After I read that, I remember him telling me he was from Yushu which I assumed was in Amdo but in fact is in Kham.Thanks to the viewer who pointed that out.I met this Buddhist monk in Xining, Qinghai, and asked him to teach me some simple Tibetan phrases. I believe he's speaking a dialect of Tibetan spoken in Qinghai (Amdo) because it doesn't sound like the Tibetan I heard in Lhasa.
