Saying Good-bye to Max

Max left us for a better place today at 7:25 p.m. He is now in a place where he can once again run as he did when he was a pup, and his eyesight is good and his hearing is not failing. And we know he will keep the angels laughing until we get there, but he has left a big hole in our hearts.

Coffee and Ptarmigans above the Arctic Circle

This video was shot by my mom and stepdad who run Spirit Lights Lodge in Bettles, Alaska. They are 35 miles north of the Arctic Circle and it gets COLD! In this video, Ma and Pa Browne play Mythbusters and confirm the myth that hot coffee thrown into the air at temperatures below -50 degrees F vaporizes before it hits the ground. Personally, I think anyone throwing hot coffee away when it's 50 below should have their head examined! :P There are also some Ptarmigans at the end of the video. Very cool birds!
