So many people in your life to keep track of from your niece entering t.u. to professionals in your field you met at conference, students you advise, former students you advised, friends, and heck even your own kids! On top of that it is a challenge to keep a steady diet of input regarding current events, hobbies, entertainment, and what is new in your field. Come to this workshop to learn how to follow the millennial generation in progressing from address books, newspapers, magazines, and forgotten websites to efficient electronic media tools that will feed you information and help you keep up with your friends. I will discuss how advisors and counselors can use new media tools to keep in touch with students. Along with this we will tackle privacy concerns, communications efficiency, and social networking. We will also share and reflect on our own experiences.
