Alberto Salazar, world renowned marathon runner and winner of three consecutive New York City marathons, suffered a heart attack last year due to a genetic predisposition to heart disease. This year he returned to running, as honorary captain of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, running with the help of implants from the Medtronic Foundation.
