This summer, tens of thousands of you took a trip with me to the top of Mount Washington - experiencing the top of New England! In another classic New England experience, this time we go harvesting giant pumpkins for the world-famous Topsfield Fair! After conducting live interviews during the morning for NECN (you can view them all at http://tinyurl.com/y92bs94), including with giant pumpkin grower Woody Lancaster, I had the privilege of being on-hand for the harvest, leading up to the international Giant Pumpkin weighing slated for the following day in Topsfield, MA. Unless you've harvested a giant pumpkin yourself, you've NEVER seen the process up close and personal like this - the camaraderie, the competition and the dedication it takes to nurture a being that can grow as much as 40 pounds in one day! A huge thanks goes out to the New England Giant Pumpkin Growers, and specifically the Ipswich Bay Giant Pumpkin Growers, who took me along for one amazing ride!
