Pancakes in a Bag

My favorite pancakes. Not the thick doughy kind served in restaurants, but not quite crepes. These freeze well. Whisk together: 1.5 cups all-purpose flour 3 tablespoons sugar 1.5 tablespoons baking powder 0.5 teaspoon salt Whisk together separately: 1.5 cups milk 3 tablespoons melted butter 2 large eggs 0.5 teaspoon vanilla Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined (batter will be lumpy). If you've got blueberries, go ahead and sprinkle a few on top of each pancakes as it cooks.

Saravanaas Restaurant

After an honor society induction ceremony at LUI, Michelle, her friends Sri and Vidhya, and I went to Saravanaas Restaurant in Curry Hill for some tasty Southern Indian treats. Tea, breakfast, and lunch with the STeaPers and Viddler peeps, at Alice's Tea Cup. We stayed there long time. They were very good to us. The tea was excellent, as was the food. So if you can manage to go there, you should!

October 13, 2007 We went to Red Hook to celebrate our friend Kris's birthday. Ate lots of great stuff at a couple of foodie hot spots: the Latin American food stands at the ball fields, and Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pies. Afterward we chilled at the incredibly scenic pier behind Steve's.
