If you are really bored by your current idea, starting with a fresh one can be very appealing. But I didn't get the feeling that you were bored, just... distracted lol

Last year I totally had a soundtrack. This year not so much.

For some odd reason, the first 15,000 words of my novel this year were 1 hour of events.

I love this. You seem so mellow, but yet the music in the background is completely opposite of that. :)
