2 years ago 0 + -It was the coolest thing. The first harry potter book came out when i was 10, and since they came out about once a year, I literally grew up with Harry and Ron and people. It's been a fun adventure. ^_^
Magda-Chr... (4:27)
2 years ago 0 + -i LOVE salinger
Magda-Chr... (4:47)
2 years ago 0 + -I'm the same way, that's why I tend to like to read books more than once. The first time is for the enjoyment, involvment and emotional trips, and the second (and third and fourth hundred) time is when I pay attention to some of the subtler aspects of the story and of the writing.
SaintJoi (4:47)
2 years ago 0 + -Heh. I'm such a book geek. I remember everything I read, and I STILL re-read everything.
Magda-Chr... (6:25)
2 years ago 0 + -haha
Magda-Chr... (6:37)
2 years ago 0 + -I've been meaning to read that for, like, years now. I have yet to get around to it
Magda-Chr... (12:13)
2 years ago 0 + -I LOVE that book so much
Magda-Chr... (12:41)
2 years ago 0 + -Again, I love that one as well. Pretty much any distopian novel, you can bet i'll love it.
SaintJoi (1:37)
2 years ago 0 + -I started reading those when I was 17, right after the third book came out. Thought they were ok until the third book, then I was completely hooked! Love them all!
SaintJoi (2:24)
2 years ago 0 + -And Quidditch. Gotta love the Quidditch.
SaintJoi (3:02)
2 years ago 0 + -I'm reading that one right now! It's intriguing.
SaintJoi (5:20)
2 years ago 0 + -Argh!!! Stupid people. My dad was a librarian and he had to deal with that crap a lot.
SaintJoi (6:26)
2 years ago 0 + -Kids are very cruel unless they've been raised well.
SaintJoi (6:43)
2 years ago 0 + -I still need to read that one...time for another trip to the bookstore!
SaintJoi (7:21)
2 years ago 0 + -Such a great book!! The movie's ok, but the book is much better.
SaintJoi (9:10)
2 years ago 0 + -I'm ashamed that I have not yet read Austen...Sigh. But I have a borrowed copy of Pride and Prejudice on my bookshelf, so I should read it.
SaintJoi (9:10)
2 years ago 0 + -Prrof that I am a total book geek: I often leave for work and forget my lunch, because I'll be unlocking my car and don't want to go to the trouble of going back inside. Today I forgot my book to read during lunch (PRide and Prejudice), was halfway down the street, and turned my car around to go back and get it. *headdesk* Such a geek.
SaintJoi (9:27)
2 years ago 0 + -Yay, William Goldman!
SaintJoi (10:15)
2 years ago 0 + -Yay for fluffy mass-market books! My favorite author of that type is Clive Cussler.
Skittles_... (10:15)
2 years ago 0 + -My father's a fan of Cussler, but sadly I have not tried to dive further...
SaintJoi (11:38)
2 years ago 0 + -of those four, Switly Tilting Planet is my fav. But all of them are excellent!
Ape-X (11:38)
2 years ago 0 + -I liked Many Waters the best. I got kinda sucked into the whole biblical fiction thing.
SaintJoi (12:13)
2 years ago 0 + -Such a great book! Though I'm tempted to believe that Huxley's idea is more where society is headed (Brave New World)
SaintJoi (12:42)
2 years ago 0 + -That book scared the living daylights out of me, partyl because the tone is so cheery. Yikes! Love that book!
Ape-X (0:18)
2 years ago 0 + -The Brothers Karamazov. Amazing book. College courses are taught on that book alone. Heck, courses are taught on the Grand Inquisitor chapter alone! It's a book worth anyone's attention.
Ape-X (3:31)
2 years ago 0 + -I think I read somewhere Rice has been 'born again' and doesn't write that stuff any more. Ah well. She made all the money she needed, I guess!
Ape-X (5:15)
2 years ago 0 + -That. Is. LAME.
Ape-X (9:42)
2 years ago 0 + -Hehe. I thought of this one earlier in the video because i always confuse the names William Golding and William Goldman.
Ape-X (10:43)
2 years ago 0 + -Took me a while to read that, too. I had to put it down for a while 'cause it was so heavy.
gamwyn (8:25)
2 years ago 0 + -Yeah Jane Eyre!!!
gamwyn (9:06)
2 years ago 0 + -Yes you should!! Austen is BRILLIANT.
gamwyn (9:27)
2 years ago 0 + -Haha that book is hilarious!!
amandolin (3:40)
2 years ago 0 + -LOL
Skittles_... (3:40)
2 years ago 0 + -Seconded! XD
frecklesa... (11:08)
2 years ago 0 + -that book really depressed me at the end...and almost ruined the entire story for me. I
frecklesa... (11:45)
2 years ago 0 + -I absolutly loathed wrinkle in time when we were forced to read it in like 2nd grade. I don't think I could bring myself to read it again
Dreamgirls (2:46)
2 years ago 0 + -ROTFLMAO!!!
Dreamgirls (6:37)
2 years ago 0 + -I absolutely love that book and her collected poems, with "I Am Vertical" being one of my favorites.
Skittles_... (5:20)
2 years ago 0 + -That's just horrific...
Skittles_... (6:11)
2 years ago 0 + -Favorite of mine, as well. Any book that discets the nature of man with such effect deserves a place in the hall of classics.
Skittles_... (6:54)
2 years ago 0 + -Funny and Slyvia Plath? Heavens!
Skittles_... (6:59)
2 years ago 0 + -Now THAT is what good Dark Comedy does.
Skittles_... (11:47)
2 years ago 0 + -I need to reread those... it's been so long...
Skittles_... (12:47)
2 years ago 0 + -God I love Fahrenheit 451. Perhaps the most subtle but strikinly wide-reaching change in my life came of reading it. Hurrah, Dystopia!
miserere (3:48)
2 years ago 0 + -Claudia was such a cool character in that book.
miserere (8:21)
2 years ago 0 + -I love the Bronte sisters. They wrote some amazing novels.
Oesting (9:03)
2 years ago 0 + -i could listen to talk about Jane Austen for ages!
Oesting (9:33)
2 years ago 0 + -Ooh, I didn't know it was a book! I must go to the library come December.
brandice (2:06)
2 years ago 0 + -That came out when I was about to grad from high school and I was GLUED to it. :)
brandice (3:01)
2 years ago 0 + -That's a good one! I was surprised by it.
brandice (4:37)
2 years ago 0 + -I still haven't read that...
brandice (5:38)
2 years ago 0 + -I wish I'd read that on my own instead of in high school. I think I would've loved it then.
brandice (6:35)
2 years ago 0 + -*LOVES*
brandice (6:58)
2 years ago 0 + -it's totally humorous, I agree. I think she intended it that way. :)
brandice (9:29)
2 years ago 0 + -I haven't read the book!
brandice (11:32)
2 years ago 0 + -You should add this to the BookTalk group! :)
brandice (12:13)
2 years ago 0 + -GOOD!!! I love that one.
brandice (13:03)
2 years ago 0 + -East of Eden is a book that changed how I looked at things, and it still does everytime I read it again. I highly recomment it, my favorite book of all time. :)
brandice (13:54)
2 years ago 0 + -I agree! :) I'm glad you're on board and I'm so glad I started the group so that I can interact with all of you. :)
MokeyRocks (3:02)
2 years ago 0 + -omg I just came across this video of yours -- you and I have the same taste in books! :)
