The Tootsie Roll jingle is one of the more enduring jingles in American popular culture.
Recorded at Blank Tape Studios in 1976, it is still occasionally played today. The jingle was sung by a nine-year-old girl and a thirteen-year-old boy, the children of jazz musicians and friends of the song's composer.
The children were paid $50 each for their work, and the girl claims to still have the original reel-to-reel audio tape recording.
