Too many people will launch into their sales pitch without introducing themselves first, that's what really puts me off

I don't necessarily follow people on twitter that have the same interests as me, I tend to follow them if they are interesting and have something interesting to say.

Standing in the corner, that reminds me so much of myself and I still catch myself doing it now when I'm in a room with a bunch of strangers.
