his shock value is dead. opie & ant r taking his peeps. the net is freedom.

What are you talking about?! Gary is a madman! Let me guess, you are a dinosaur?

And that's the big difference between old and new media.

But those 2 people might become 4 and 8 and 16 and so on. It's always a shot in the dark with Internet fame

I f*cken love it... myface...my ass! Howard Stern is a CLOWN!

Goes back to talent. You don't have it nobody will care.

Or he wants people to go up the ranks the same way as he did. That's the attitude singers have against American Idol winners.

If he heres this over the weekend I am sure on Monday he will say that he "invented blogging" and everyone is now trying to copy him...lol

He does not get it, he is "my dad" and he is OLD as hell dude

Why? Because he's older than DIRT, that's why! "You kids get off my lawn [media]!!" LOL

anybody. even a broke college student like me!

he's just pouting because he strived so hard to get just an opportunity to become big while we now all have opportunities to become big...

He still wants people to know about him. Why else would he still be on the radio?

Why doesn't Stern figure it out and become Stern 2.0? Does age matter?

As someone who's been involved in both "old" media and "new" media, I frequently refer to a much more level playing field in the media, and this is exactly what I'm talking about.

Howard Stern is rich enough for a radio guy. How much more does he want?

You can actually hear the hate in his words, proving that he fears what he does not understand: The Web.

Did they just diss KROQ? How does that fit in with what he's crying about here?

I guess Fear shows no boundaries?

I guess now that Sirius/XM's stock has plummeted, they want him to move from Racial and Sexual Shock - to a more "wide" level? He's now dissing the new Net generation in general, which they're hoping will get more listeners...

...kind of like McCain's campaign was hoping to shock the world by Marketing a Female VP. Shock doesn't always work, Howard.

Honestly, I haven't heard anything about Howard Stern since his big Sirius/XM deal - and that seems to be the ONLY time I hear about him... nobody talks about him anymore.

He's old news, like all of those old "reality TV" shows from the late 90's/early Millineum days...

Howard, it's time to pull the last tooth and go in for dentures... it's O-V-E-R old man!

Wicked video, Gary, and you're so right about Stern.

They are scared...everyone has a voice and can be heard!

This is a good video even if it is over 12 minutes long.

Ya man. I hardly listen to the radio anymore cause when I want music I get people talking and commercials.

G - you nailed it. Gotta be able to read between the lines early - no doubt.

HOW TRANSPARENT ARE YOU?
Click my name to come over to the video!

Yeah, radio is way too oldskool for me! I can't stand it.

The last time I heard about him was probably on Adam Curry's Daily Source Code over a year ago.

Or when Howard's wife was on Oprah.

Does Mott 'link it up' on the Viddler videos? Because I seem to beat him too it. :P

I don't think N E 1 could have handled this commentary as well as you Gary. FTW!

This is solid analysis of how Stern has jumped the shark...3 years ago.

Anyone, even people that are deluding themselves that they are interesting! If you are good, you'll get a following.
