Basically nanowrimo is AWESOME, and you should all do it.

http://www.advancedfictionwriting.com/art/snowflake.php

That's a lot of words. I'm lucky if I hit 50,000!

I didn't plan to write that much. Granted, the first year I had a good amount of time on my hands. Last year, way less time (and I wrote MORE, go figure). This year even less time, so who knows what will happen...

I've tried that too, but I've found that if I plot it out, I don't have fun with it. Snowflake is a good way to go if you want to outline the plot.

I've found I absolutely must outline mine or I'll write myself into an absolutely horrible hole. I really like the Snowflake, because it lets you look at the whole story arch at once. I impressed at your ability to write without pre-plotting!

Thanks for the hint - I'd never heard of Snowflake.

OK, first timer here - who or what is Mr Ian Woon?

Mr. Ian Woon is an anagram of "nanowrimo" and I guess it's tradition to have him randomly show up in your novel and kill him off in a strange/bizzare fashion.

Oooh, thank you - with the idea I'm outlining just now, there's a great deal of scope for characters to get killed off in a strange/bizarre fashion...

great t-shirt! cam-wise, I use the Logitech QuickCam Pro and I love it. :)

Thanks! :-) I shall have to check out the camera.

The idea was sparked back in January, I think, and the title accosted me sometime during March. :-)

Yay for nano t-shirts! I ordered this year's last night. :-)
