I was going to mention that one. I've heard it mentioned on various tech/writing podcasts by writers.

On the Mac, there's also TextEdit; bare bones text application.

I don't write much, but I recently got Apple's iWork which includes 'Pages'. It's very nice, and exports to Word .doc, .pdf, etc.

word...i have a pc, and the main reason i have a pc is because of word and just writing on the apple we have in the living room is comletely creative draining, for some reason boring old windows sparks my ideas

Hi Gamwyn,

Just having a browse through the vids after MONTHS away, so thought I'd add my two-penneth, though no doubt you've got yourself sorted with software by now...

Anyway, I use:

Movie Magic Screenwriter 6 for all forms of scripts (but it aint cheap at around $200). Very POWERFUL program, and far superior to Final Draft in my view. I'm also probably gonna use it for novels and short stories too, as it's more than capable and indeed comes with a Novel template that is 100% customisable (which I've done), as indeed are all the templates (homepage: www.screenplay.com . But best buy offer (where I bought it) at www.screenstyle.com)

Novels & short stories:

Write It Now 4. relatively cheap ($60), feature-packed and powerful (although, as I said, I may be migrating all my writing into MMS6 so I can have everything "under one roof") www.ravensheadservices.com)

Hope the writing's going well. I'm SURE it is!!

And I'm determined to have a go at SF and NaNo this year! :-)
