About This Video
http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com In the wake of Tropical Storm Fay, the Department of Labor approved a grant of up to $20 million dollars to the state of Florida. $8 million dollars is available immediately to the Sunshine State, and 6,500 relief effort jobs will be created to help with recovery. If the state is still in need of additional funds, the money will be sent their way. On August 21st, FEMA recognized that all Florida counties are eligible for their assistance program. For a state that is all too familiar with weather and storm damage, Florida is being given aid at a time when it arguably needs it more than ever. The states economy and job market was struggling prior to Fays arrival, many people would be able to rebound without a little help. Relief efforts will include everything from clean-up and rebuilding, to providing food, shelter, and clothing to those displaced by the storms damage.
