omg my video cut off gah oh well was pretty much done anyway sorry guys!! *facepalms*

plus, the writing seems to get better with each Nano. I'm a much better writer now than I was in '04 when I started NaNo.

I so agree with that. Because NaNo gives me the opprotunity to NOT worry about writing something good and rather just go crazy, I have learned so much about me as a writer and what i'm good or bad at writing.

That was me, my first year! I'd never written anything longer than a few pages! Seeing that 52K manuscript all printed out was one of the best things in my life.

Yes! In fact, my plot this year came out of a conversation in the plot doctoring forums! Everyone's so ready to help and to give ideas, it's wonderful!

Yeah, it's so weird! A lot fo newspaper articles do similar things, and get very snobby and sceptical. What the heck?

THAT is why I have so much fun doing NaNo -- it's all about the community.

Good post! I like what you said about how at the end of the day, the only thing the individual has to deal with is their own writing, no matter how/why it was created.

I agree completely. NaNo is a great opertunity to take your hand at noveling.

And the majority of published writers have to get through those "crappy" drafts first. Every writer's first version of any novel is kinda rough.

*waves arm* That's what I'm aiming for. It's nice to hear someone else actually admit that.

That's important to me too--just having the ability to say I did it. It's a great confidence booster.
