About This Video
A video of an Alliance victory in Alterac Valley circa 10/14/2009.
This clip is a test of both my MacBook Pro's ability to take real-time video and my own somewhat lacking PvP skills.
It should be noted that the video was only shot in 640x400 despite World of Warcraft offering me the option to record in up to 960x600. As far as I can tell the higher resolution option doesn't cause any additional lag in-game either while recording or compressing the footage immediately afterwards (watch my "Stormwind Trek" video to see the higher res option in action), but since I wanted to platform-shift this clip from to both an embeddable web service and my iPhone, I went with the simpler, lower-res option (though I did shoot at 60 frames per second, to ensure that any noticeable lag would be caused by the game overstressing my laptop, not by the footage parameters).
For additional reference, the computer used in creating this video is a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo with 4GB of 667 MHz DDR2 RAM, and a 512MB GeForce 8600M GT video card running the latest revision of OS X Snow Leopard.
