Wow, I can't believe you told your real name at the beginning. You said you didn't want anyone to know your real name. Xubuntu is XFE filed. Ubuntu in Gnome, and Kubuntu is KDE. I like Gnome the most as it's most supported and has the most apps available for it. KDE is most graphical and good looking which KDE is done for. XFE is mostly used for work loaded desktop work. Those are the differences. Nice seeing you around still droadtrip. So it seems 9.10 is getting bad reviews. But as far as Gnome goes, Unbuntu is much better on 9.10 than 9.04. I've heard everybody say 9.10 is a lot better in ubuntu. I can't say anything about Xubuntu, it's work related code based and for work, I never got into it. Kubuntu is ok, but it's too much like Windows, graphics are nice though. Thanks for sharing the info.

Hey, watch this video.

It was the first time I gave my real name out. By then many many folks already knew my name anyway, thanks to VegasUnderground who never could keep anything private.

I know you will like this video. It is filled with Special Effects I rendered in there from Final Cut.

I love Ubuntu as you said; And I really love Linux Mint more. They build off Ubuntu and simplify things more to the user making it a joy to use. Then last week, I installed Xubuntu 9.04 to a fellow neighbor's 8 year old Dell Laptop and was amazed how well it behaved. Finally, I did this comparison of the 2 most recent versions. I'm jealous of 9.10 because it looks so awesome just like 9.04 looked 6 months ago. We'll see how everything moves forward.

u know the only OSs in the ubuntu series i've tried is just ubuntu and kubuntu, now i really want to try out xubuntu. sounds really cool

Xubuntu 9.10 is a lot better. I tinkered with it some more and everything in version 9.10 is a lot better!

Same for version 9.10. I just did not plug in my Ethernet cable until after and test it that way. It automatically located the right drivers.
