3D Globe (now known as Google Earth)
was shown to a mass audience...5000 people
saw it at the Siggraph 2001 3D Shootout.

IIt was a fast and wild 1min demo format, but we won.

Google Earth now has hundreds of millions of Users.
(but it's still only scratching the surface of what it's capable of or why it's important)
