If it's a company you might not really want to work for, you could offer to resend a resume after you delete some of the things makes you seem too experienced.

That's really sad that you're having that experience. I don't understand it either... not all jobs *have* to pay you more or something if you're overqualified. You're the one stooping to their job level, so what's the problem?

Hang in there! It may/may not be a long process depending on your field. I've been unemployed for a few weeks now. A lot of resumes sent no replies yet. :( We have to just keep plugging along.
