Landscaping and groundskeeping jobs will continue to be on the rise, with employees making an estimated $10.22/hour. Also, electronic and home entertainment installer jobs will continue to exist, as many people cant lift or install the heavy equipment themselves. On average, these installers make $14.42/hour.
Terrazzo workers and finishers are also going to continue to be employed, making an estimated $15.21 hour.
Another job that seems to be around for a while is highway maintenance workers. Even with the recent trend in layoffs, maintenance workers should not be affected since there is a constant need to maintain the roadways. These maintenance workers make on average $15.67/hour.
Security and fire system installers will continue to be employed at an estimated $16.73/hour, as there is a continuing need to ensure that people are safe.
Professional repairmen will also continue to be employed because there is a constant need to make sure computers, automated teller and office machines are up and running. These repairmen make an estimated $17.54/hour.
Tile and marble setter will continue to be employed at an estimated $17.59/hour.
Professional heating, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics will continue to be employed at $18.44/hour.
Structural and reinforcing iron and metal workers will continue to work at $19.46/hour.
Lastly, subway and street-car operator jobs will be prevalent within the next few years. According to the Bureau, they will make an estimated $23.55/hour.
