About This Video
This is a great exercise for strengthening the upper back muscles between your shoulder blades and rotator muscles of the shoulder. This help to keep your shoulders and upper back healthy through improved posture.
From a seated position, grab a rope with an underhand grip (thumbs up).
To initiate the movement, pull your shoulder blades back as if you're pinching them together. From there, pull the rope towards your head by pulling your elbows back. Your elbows should track to the side of your body flared out and not in front of you (you're not curling the weight towards you). Your hands should be at the side of your head by your ears as if you're talking on the phone.
Squeeze your shoulder blades together and then lower the weight under control back to the starting position.
