Awesome! I have been frustrated with the broken conversation model that FriendFeed has been encouraging. There is a lot in FriendFeed that is broken, but this is one thing that really needs to be resolved. Your statement about broken conversation in physical world and digital realm is dead on. I agree that people really should leave comments at the source. I know that I rarely check friendfeed to see if people have left comments - as it can be a bit confusing. I usually go back to the source when I want to comment, whether it be a blog, video, etc.

Sounds like a cool idea and it would be good for all the sites. However I wouldn't want all the shouters from digg to be able to do it.
