Launch footage of STS-117 (ATLANTIS) from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on June 8, 2007. The video was taken with a small video camera I mounted on a leg of one of my remote camera tripods at the press site. As you'll see, the shuttle goes up like a white-hot flare and the sound is so loud it knocks the wind out of you.
