I totally understand and sympathize; I've done the "desperately try to keep the servers running" gig, and I know it sucks. I hope my comments don't seem like whining. I just miss Viddler when it's not there for me.

Seriously though, I understand the issues associated with rapid growth of an application such as yours. If you will drop me an e-mail (you can see that on the back end right?) I'll put you guys in touch with the top management over at Layered Technologies (http://layeredtech.com) who might be able to make your lives a WHOLE lot simpler.



These are the guys that are running Wordpress.com's 300+ servers, and they have a ridiculously scalable application platform that might solve all of your woes (and even save you some money).



In any case, it doesn't hurt to open a dialog with them. It's always good to have contacts and I don't mind facilitating the introduction for my only "friend" on Viddler. :-)
