Nothing Easy about SEEDS 2000 TV
Seed Company Salutes Backbreaking Realities of Two Midwest Farmers
MINNEAPOLIS Farming is anything but easy, and agricultural seed company, SEEDS 2000, Inc., based in Breckenridge, Minnesota is saluting the hard work that growers put into their operations in its new TV spot. The new work, featuring TV and radio, embraces the stiff realities, stresses and the never-come-easy satisfaction of what it means to be a farmer.
According to executive creative director, Jac Coverdale, We talked to a lot of growers and were struck when they universally said that the new seed technology actually made farming easier. SEEDS 2000 is one of the leaders in this new seed technology.
The :60/:30 TV spots feature a North Dakota father and his adult son as they face the constant demands of farmingfrom daybreak until the wee hours of the night. The son, Owen, narrates the spot explaining that theres nothing easy about farming and how SEEDS 2000 technology is helping to make things easier. The final frame shows corn and sunflower seeds glowing with technology much like a computer transistor board. This icon, complete with audio mnemonic, has been introduced to support the companys tag line: Technology In Your Seed. Outdoor is also being used to introduce this new icon for SEEDS 2000.
The radio continues this salute, concentrating on the sentiments, simple truths and guarded optimism that make up the realities of farming. For example, in one spot, a farmer confesses the complexities of farming: First you plant...then you pray for rain then before you know it, youre praying for the rain to stop. He goes on to explain that he depends on the technology of SEEDS 2000.
The campaign will run during late fall and early winter, during which time farmers purchase their seed for the upcoming planting season.
