The manufacturer, Kurz-Kasch Inc., received incentives from the Ohio Department of Development so it would expand in the area and create 200 new manufacturing jobs. Currently, Kurz-Kasch runs manufacturing and research facilities in Ohio, Indiana, Virginia and Brazil. However, Ohio would like the plastics processing and technology company to expand and bring revenue to their area. The tax credit incentive is estimated to be worth $440,000 for a six-year term and would require that Kurz-Kasch stayed in operations for twelve years. If Kurz-Kasch accepts the proposal, the new plant will add 200 new jobs to the already existing 25 jobs.
