Big Cat Rescue Night Tour!

Imagine...It's the night of a full moon and you are groping through the underbrush in the wilds of a Florida forest when you hear the roar of lions and tigers so close you can almost feel their hot breath! Armed with only a flashlight you continue on at the urging of your guide and notice that you are the main attraction to all the wild animals living at Big Cat Rescue. You see hundreds of glowing eyes, all focused on you and as you pass the enclosures you hear the rushing of the great cats as they make a pounce for you in the dark. You'll hear the roaring of tigers, the screaming of cougars and the caterwauling of bobcats, lynx and more as you try to get back to the safety of your car. It's an adrenaline rush to turn the tables and become the hunted rather than the hunter. It's an experience you will remember and talk about for years to come. Previously this tour was only offered to expedition guests, but due to popular demand, we decided to offer this exciting tour on the last Friday of each month and invite all brave souls to enjoy this awesome activity. Big Cat Rescue - Kid's Tour

Every saturday morning at 9 AM we provide a special kid's tour for any children under the age of 10 years. This is a great experience for the kid's as they come face to face with tigers, lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats, lynx and more! The tour lasts for about an hour and they get to learn about the cat's individual histories, as well as the species in general. The tours provide a different experience to visiting a zoo as you are only a few feet away from the cats! So you get to hear the tigers "chuff", lions ROAR! and the cougars squeak! Big Cat Rescue - Keeper Tour

We offer a variety of different tours at Big Cat Rescue, from regular guided tours of the sanctuary to feeding tours where you get to watch the big cats chomping down on their dinner up close! We also offer night tours where you are guided around Big Cat Rescue with the aid of a flashlight, when the cats are at the most active for a totally different experience! Our Big Cat Keeper Tour is our most popular and offers guests an exclusive behind the scenes experience found nowhere else in the world, that is respectful to the animals and safe for the guests. The experience is divided into two parts: Enrichment (making toys and treats for the cats and watch as a keeper hands out what you've made) and Operant Conditioning featured in this video, which is a training session between the cats and a keeper. Operant conditioning is a positive reinforcement training method we use to observe the animals up close in case any medical treatment is required and also to move our cats into seperate parts of their enclosure when maintenance is scheduled. This is completed with minimum stress on the animal. Teen Wilderness visit Big Cat Rescue

Atlas and Jason Caproni are teenage wildlife enthusiasts based in Florida. Watch as Manager Scott Lope gives them and their family a tour around Big Cat Rescue, teaching them about our cats and giving Atlas the opportunity to practice is presentation skills. Revez-vous d'aller en Afrique? De voir et entendre ces animaux qui vous fascinent tellement sur le petit ecran? Figurez-vous que pour beaucoup moins d'argent et tout en faisant une tres bonne action, notre santuaire situe en Floride, a Tampa, vous permet de realiser ce reve. Big Cat Rescue est une societe a but non lucratif sur 45 acres qui survie grace a vos donations et visites. En queslques mots, nous sommes une maison de retraite et assurons les bons soins d'environ 150 animaux, dont environ 20 especes differentes. Mon nom est Marie Schoubert et je suis une des volontaires a BCR. Ayant le privilege de parler Francais, j'ai le grand honeur et plaisir de vous faire decouvrir en Francais notre merveilleux et absoluement unique santuaire dont nous sommes tous tres fiers. Nous avons deux missions tres importantes a accomplir a Big Cat Rescue: l'une est d'assurer les meilleures conditions d'habitat permanent pour tous nos animaux et le deuxieme, de la meme importance, d'eduquer le monde de facon a ce qu'il n'existe plus d'animaux qui souffrent parcequ'ils ont ete abandonnes, abuses, battus ou mal traites. Un des bons moyens pour commencer cette mission est egallement de prendre mieux soin de l'environnement, la faune, et de respecter non seulement notre planete mais aussi les uns les autres. Le reve serait de ne plus avoir ces animaux enfermes... ils ont aussi droit a la liberte! Je vous prie donc de venir nous rendre visite. Les chats vous attendent!
