11 months ago 0 + -I'm really enjoying these, and contemplating doing one myself. But I don't understand the "gay" tag on all of these, are you saying that the music of the 80's is gay? or that the groups singing are gay or that lip syncing is gay? What is the gay tag for?
Do you mean gay as in happy or gay as in the inappropriate urban slang for bad, or gay as in someone of homosexual orientation?

I am gay... and as I explained to Brandice (also on Viddler) about a month or so ago... the gay tag is so other gays on Viddler (and via search) can find me. I'm a writer who focuses on helping and assisting gay youth with things like drug addiction and coming out, etc. I want them to have a role model since we have no real role models out there. I survived drug addition (been clean over 12 years now) and am proud to be who I am. That's what the gay tag is for (and why I started the "pink" group on Viddler.) I would love for you to do a SingToday! Obviously, you don't have to put that gay tag in there, that's just something that I do...

Congrats on the 12 years sober, I'm 11 years myself and I think it's an awesome thing to be. (although I was exclusively a pot head, I still feel it was a drug addiction and I'm glad to be free of it.)
My uncle was gay and he died of AIDS unfortunately too young, but he was a great man whom with my mom and dad taught me that people are people regardless of their race, religion or sex preference.
