you made that up

good words for a reporter to here, eh?

"alot of what we're doing on facebook is perhaps not to build new communities, but what we're trying to do is to help people to communicate with people that they already would have, just more effectively -- extend that empathy and extend those relationships and be able to keep in touch with more people at the same time, and throw out more information a community setting"

so if applications can do this, then why do we need to "visit" facebook.com ?

Tough question. I thought she didn't ask any? Guess she did, huh?

Another tough question. Evidence? Look at him stammer through the answer.

Another tough question. For all the talk about how she didn't ask any, I count at least 3 or 4.

I agree. I don't mind this interview at all. It might not be as technical as the developers at SXSW might like. But this guy isn't going to talk API. I find Sara's style to be conversational and quite fun to watch.

Another tough question, this time going after his pride and joy; the application platform.

That was his answer? Okay? Delve into it, stupid.

It's called having a conversation, stupid. Must everything begin with a W word?

So it is possible to run completely by feel and heart and at the same time by being completely analytical? Am I missing something?

except for the phishers, spammers, and black-hatters that...aren't.

Great, so a handful of loudmouths convinced government to confiscate everyone else's income for their pet charity. Maybe I wanted to support leukemia research instead. Did you think of that? Morons. Give individuals economic freedom, not handouts, and poverty will decrease.

It is a shame about her flirtatious style of interviewing.

She was too comfortable and I think as a result talked too much. A journalist's "personality" in an interview should generally be used in service of figuring out the subject. It's fun once in a while when Letterman talks over his subjects, or sometimes you want to redirect the focus or frame the subject, but here I know more about the journalist than I want. There's a reason there are only a couple of "celebrity interviewers" (interviewers who are as fun to watch as their subjects)?it's really hard to pull off.

I can see she really wants to marry the 15 billion dollars.

The real issue with the whole interview is that it was about facebook. I didn't learn anything about how to succeed. This was amplified with her flipping her hair rather than driving towards "what's the formula for success".

You're just looking for some easy answers. There is no formula for sucess. It's a very relative thing. The geeks of SXSW are just jealous fools

The revenge.. It's clear that she got hurt by his comment. Haha!!

That was TOTALLY unnecessary. She tries to put him in a hard situation.
