About This Video
http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com Governor Jodi Rell covered all the bases needed to bring 220 jobs to Connecticut. Burris Logistics, the Delaware-based wholesale food supplier, is opening two, 250,000 square foot warehouses in Rocky Hill. The state of Connecticut is offering a $3 million dollar tax break, for the $65 million dollar Burris project. When Burris bought 92 acres for $14.6 million dollars, residents opposed the move citing noise, construction, and traffic disturbances. However, the states Department of Economic and Community Development points to the $26 million dollar new revenue stream for the state. Connecticut has seen a boom in its job market, while the rest of the nation has had problems. 3,600 jobs were added in Connecticut in June alone, and 6,000 jobs have come into the state over the past year.
