Municipal elections have a historically very low voter turnout. I want to change that. Civic councils have more of a direct effect on your life on a day to day basis. Mayor and council decides what your neighbourhood looks like; what kinds of buildings can be built there, where new parks will be, and so on. They also decide how to spend your property tax money and how to set the rate. I hope this year you'll get involved, get out there, and find out who's promising what, and then VOTE. Tell your neighbours, tell your friends, VOTE.
