Buy or Lease New Computers?

Just back from a massage, tired and hungry but wanted to keep up my streak of MeTodays.

We're going to be upgrading several of our Macs. In the past we've always just bought new ones. But I'm thinking about leasing as an option. Do you or your company lease your computers? I'd like know why you do or don't. Seems like a good deal and use of cash. Let me know.

Wednesday's are "BFS Day." BFS is short for Bare Feet Studios, our 11 year old internet consulting and development company. It's the day in the middle of the week that we try to get our own internal stuff done. Doesn't always work out that way but it's the plan.

Today was so gorgeous that we took a break to film Beach Walks with Rox, our daily Internet show, in the morning instead of the afternoon. Got to the beach later than we wanted but still very few people for as nice as it was. Ahhhh the benefits of being your own boss. Most of the time it outweighs the 100-hour weeks and no health insurance.... Most of the time.

Woot!The client I mentioned in the video is Here Comes The Guide and they are one of our oldest and most favorite client to work with because the really trust us and totally get the power of the Web. Their site is huge and is the cornerstone of their business. Tons of new features coming in 2008.

Back to work today after taking the past two weeks "off," which basically meant I didn't check email and now have to deal wtih over 400 real messages in my Inbox.

Completely overwhelmed with everything in my To Do lists and on my whiteboard that didn't get done during the "break."

Trying to remind myself to take it one little task at a time. No matter how good your GTD system, at the end of all the gathering and filing, you still gotta just get the stuff done...

I finally found some time to do a MeToday! Seriously though, I so love playing with all the digital tools but I find myself at the end of 16 hour work days tired and not wanting to interact with anyone or anything. So perhaps the trick will be to weave videos and blog posts into the regular working part of my day inbetween client work. We'll see...
